Disgruntled former staff are understood to be seeking advice that could lead to court after the university paid out £34,000 for wrongful dismissal to a former manager (The Courier)
- Bank crash boss sues for Lloyds bonus – The former chief executive of Lloyds Banking Group and one of his top lieutenants are suing the bailed-out lender for hundreds of thousands of pounds in unpaid bonuses in a move that risks sparking public outrage (The Times)
- Care charity staff take employers to tribunal – More than a dozen home care staff are taking Family Nursing & Home Care to an employment tribunal after refusing to sign new contracts containing worse terms and conditions (The Jersey Evening Post)
- Oil and gas boss admits health and safety ‘incidents’ occurred – The boss of an energy company taken to tribunal over health and safety concerns has admitted there were “incidents”. Former employee Stewart Logan worked for Enermech for four years delivering the Engineering Construction Industry Training Board (ECITB) programme, but quit the post last year (Energy Voice)

- £22,000 payout for former Burnley postman after employment tribunal – A former postman has received a £22,000 payout after an employment tribunal found he was unfairly and constructively dismissed. But claims that Adam Gregory was the victim of sexual discrimination while working at Royal Mail’s Burnley Delivery Officer were dismissed (The Lancashire Evening Post)
- Textile company fined after worker suffers crushed hand – A Devonshire based textile company, Heathcoat Fabrics Limited has been fined after 21-year old employee Anthony Seward suffered life changing hand injuries (HSE)
